真核生物基因组有相当大的部分会被转录成RNA。在细胞内,除负责编码蛋白质的mRNA以外,还存在大量的非编码RNA,其中包括长链非编码RNA (lncRNA)、转运RNA (tRNA)、核糖体RNA (rRNA)等。RNA的异常转录以及错误加工或修饰,都会导致核糖核蛋白体的异常装配,干扰细胞内正常的基因表达和调节。本课题组运用结构生物学、生物化学与分子生物学、细胞生物学及多种组学研究手段及技术,重点开展以下几个方面的研究:
1、RNA加工与修饰;
2、RNA介导的基因表达与调控的结构生物学研究
3、RNA调控机体免疫应答的分子机制
For eukaryotes, a large portion of the genome is transcribed into RNA. In addition to mRNA, there are plenty of non-coding RNA in cells, which includes lncRNA, tRNA, rRNA and so on. The aberrant transcription and processing of RNA will lead to abnormal assembly of ribonucleoprotein, disturbing normal gene expression and regulation in cells. To uncover the biological functions of RNA, our lab focus on the following areas:
1、 RNA processing and modification.
2、 Structural studies of RNA mediated gene expression and regulation.
3、 The functions and mechanisms of RNA in regulating immune response.
